This week's post is sponsored by: My parents… again! They sent out the things I forgot at home and a whole bunch of food for me! Thank you, it is so appreciated.

Updates:

It has been a rainy rainy two weeks. Lots of canceled tennis, soggy bedding, and humidity filling my van. I’d like to say that I spent my days cozied up and reading books but that is not what happened. I spent a copious amount of time in bed or on my phone or watching TV. Not my greatest week. That’s okay though. Sometimes it takes a crappy week of feeling like a humid lump to get the motivation to have a good week. At least for me. I mean, can you really have something good if you don’t have something bad to compare it to? Good is relative.

So anyhow this upcoming week is going to be a good one. I’m determined to make it happen.

I popped yet another tire on Marv. This time I was already at my friend's house and it was day time, so it was a much better experience. Although I had the right placement for the jack I didn’t think about how squishy the ground was (from the insane amount of rain we have gotten). I ended up just drilling the jack into the ground instead of lifting the van. So we put it back down, put a few boards under the jack, and cranked it back up again. Thanks to the help of my friends we actually had a great time listening to music, chatting, taking turns cranking, and celebrating after we were done.

I also split wood and helped friends move this week and had such a fun time doing it. There is something so fun about manual labor.

Quote of the Week:

a song that has been doing good things for me :)

“Tunnel Through A Mountain” -Próxima Parada

a local artist who spoke at a pannel I attended this weekend,

"stop thinking about how it has to be and start thinking about how it could be"

This Week:

What I have been doing: trying to dry out my comforter and drinking way too much teacher coffee

What I have NOT been doing: pursuing creative endeveors

What I have been wearing: Pants

What I have been eating: Dried fruit from my parents

What I have been reading: National Geographic Magazines

What I forgot at home: Nada - it all got sent to me

Stats:

Screen time: 4 hrs a day (average) Yikes!

Walks: 3

Days of tennis: 4

Rainy days: all the rest

Coffee: too much to count

Problem of the Week:

What is the appropriate reaction when 7th graders tell you they don't like you? It was quite a jarring experience.

Text of the Week:

Zach and I discussing footware

Delights:

The smell of rain, warm showers, evenings with friends, tennis on the only sunny day of the week, playing card games, living slowly, making granola, eating snacks, fresh apples, home made pumpkin pie, splitting wood, chilly mornings with my doors open
